My plans for  today after I get home from work...yes work. Even though everything is shutting down us health care hospital workers still have to go to work at the crack of dawn no matter what....I plan on putting up lots of items in the Etsy store. Got a couple done yesterday but stand by for lots more.

Cathi Running a Half Marathon!!!

Today's Work 10/5/12

Our Studio

 Ok, so I thought I would post some pictures of the studio where we actually make the beads. The first one is where I actually put together jewelry and work on designing things. The second one shows the glass storage shelf, the kiln where we anneal the beads and another storage unit.  I love looking at all the colored rods and working out the possible color combinations. Then we take the rods over to the torch...the third picture. This is my torch. Cathi sits to my right. One of the favorite times in my life is sitting side by side with  my buddy, talking, laughing and creating for hours. We lose ourselves in beading and blabbing. Can't wait till we Bead again. Hope you enjoy this peak into our beading world.

Here's the complete Cathi's Color set. I think it came out pretty nice...

And here's a new one I made today. It's made of 5 hollow beads with sterling silver plated ceramic beads on a black rubber cord. The clasp is Sterling plated too. I think it really pops.

 Ok, my fingers are hurting from all the wire wrapping. I've been very busy today making earrings and bracelets. Here are two of my favorite bracelets from today's adventures. It's been a gloomy cold day...good one to be in my cave creating jewelry while I listen to my summer playlist. I miss summer already.

 This I just made yesterday. It's Lampwork beads in a bracelet made with recylced sterling silver plated wire and colored copper wire. Also anodized aluminum accent and mykonos beads. The next one is one I think I may have sold, but it was a favorite of mine. Lampwork beads on a hand formed sterling bracelet. It really shined. I gotta make it again.

Cathi is on her way over right now and we're going to get beading. Gotta go crank up the kiln.

 Dangle earrings to match the dangle necklaces. I'll be making more of these. They are on tarnish resistant silver plated copper wire and have colored enamel wire too. Simple and bold in orange and lavender.

 Well after being away from my blog for so long and away from beading and creating, I'M BACK!!! Cathi and I have a craft fair at Bristol Hospital on October 26th and I'm trying to get back in a creative mode. Here's what I've made so far. They are simple dangle necklaces made with my beads on silver plated copper enameled wire. I'm going to add them to either sterling snake chains or maybe leather necklaces. Not sure yet.
